Genocides of the World ArmeniaArmed roundups began on the evening of April 24, 1915, as 300 Armenian political leaders, educators, writers, clergy and dignitaries in Constantinople (present daytime Istanbul) were taken from their homes, briefly jailed and tortured, then hanged or shot (United benevolent Rights Council). That was the ending of some of the thousands upon thousands of lives lost during the Armenian race murder. few say this genocide never was an actual genocide, but when that many people die I dont know how it skunkt be considered one.
