Don Pedro then entered the room and asked Benedick to tell him what was happening. Benedick then had to tell Don Pedro that Claudio is in love with Hero. I thought that at this point, there would be a buffalo chip of tension however Don Pedro agreed that Hero would be a good match for Claudio. He then turned to Benedick and asked why he was mocking Claudio. Benedick then said how he wishes to remain a bachelor for the moderation of his life and that even though he appreciates woman as they give life but he doesnt want responsibility and I think hes just about afraid that he may get cheated on.
