They are stepping into important jobs, becoming independent and strong figures in society. The United States has a woman in the important position in the secretary of state, Hilary Clinton. Thanks to Title IX passed 1972, in a flash young women have been given the equality to participate in, gamey school day sports and college sports and receive the financial backing for equipment, budget, and salaries. Title IX was supposed to end the discrimination of women that existed in school sports, merely it did not succeed in its goal. Critics say that Title IX is meant to be a living law, that should be changed and modified when the convey arises. Others believe Title IX is effective and does not exigency reform. Opponents report that men sports are suffering because money is universe shared with the womens programs. Women athletes deserve true equality with men regarding proportionality tests, scholarship aid, an operating budget, recruiting budget and coaching salaries.
