John is a rebel and he enlisted into the army after high school. He had nothing else to do other then shape up and join the army. He meets the girl of his dreams, savanna, on the beach. When her pocketbook fall into the water John jumps into the water to retrieve it. He depresss the bag from the water and gives it back to Savannah. When they first meet they do not have it, solely they will fall in love like they both dreamed of. Savannah is grateful that John got her bag so she invites him to a party they are having at her beach house later that night. John is hesitant to go, but he ends up going. John meets this guy that Savannah is talking just about Tim. Tim is one of Savannahs best friends. John can analyse that Tim is in love with Savannah, but he does not penury to ruin their friendship. Tim drives John back to his house. He walks inside and his pop music is doing what he usually is. He is in his office sounding at his coins. His father is a man of routine. He does the resembling things every single day. John goes to the beach again the neighboring day to go teach Savannah to surf.



They hang out almost every day until John has to return to the army. Savannah gives John a letter before he takes and tells him he cannot read it until he gets on the plane. They promised each other that they would pull through each other. Every letter that John receives from Savannah he keeps in this little tin box. He returns back from his leave and Savannah wants to meet Johns father. Savannah notices that there is something different about Johns father. She tells John that his father has Aspergers. John is furious because he thinks how does she know she is not a real doctor? After Savannah tells John, he runs off in anger and ends up shove Tim in the nose, and punching Randy in the face.
