Gullivers Travels (1726, amended 1735), is a novel by Anglo-Irish source and clergyman Jonathan spry that is both a satire on human nature and a parody of the travellers tales literary sub-genre. The unabridged publications of the text begin with a fictional letter entitled The Publisher to the Reader and A letter from Captain Gulliver to his cousin Sympson which present the fact that the overlord account has been edited and published without the permission of Lemuel Gulliver. Jonathan Swift (30 November 1667 19 October 1745) was an Anglo-Irish satirist, essayist, political pamphleteer (first for the Whigs, then for the Tories), poet and cleric who became Dean of St. Patricks Cathedral, Dublin.
